ROM, through the Kampala HIV Project conducted an impactful HIV Rapid Testers Certification Training, bringing together health workers from various health facilities across Kampala Region. The five-day training was part of our ongoing commitment to strengthening the quality of HIV services in Uganda.

Participants were taken through intensive sessions on: Accurate HIV rapid testing procedures, Result interpretation and documentation, National standards on quality assurance and safety.
By the end of the training, 96% of participants achieved full competency in the post-training assessment, reflecting both their commitment and the effectiveness of the program.
In her closing remarks, Ms. Hilda Achayo, ROM’s Director of Programs urged participants to always do their work with passion while ensuring quality.
“This training is not just about passing the assessment test. It’s about protecting lives through quality testing and we must take that responsibility seriously.” Hilda said.
