FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reach\nOut Mbuya Parish HIV\/AIDS Initiative (ROM) in conjunction with Our Lady of\nAfrica Church have today held the 4th<\/sup> Annual\nCharity Run 2019 aimed\nto raise funds that will support the Orphans and Vulnerable Children\n(OVC) attain uninterrupted quality education through our Orphans and Vulnerable\nChildren Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A cumulative total of 11,000 OVC\nhave received education\nsupport through ROM thus far and currently 900 OVC are\nactive in our child support programme. Our OVC have\nlost either one parent or both parents due to HIV&AIDS. Long before the\ndeath of the parent(s) these children especially girls drop out of school to\ncare for their parents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Presently, ROM has a gap of 92\nOVC in our care both in primary and secondary school level whose education\nneeds for the year 2020 have not been addressed.  To meet this gap, on average annually we need for; Lower Primary \u2013 UGX\n765,000\/= Upper Primary \u2013 UGX 1,080,000\/= O-Level – UGX 1,800,000\/= A Level-\nUGX 1,800,000\/=.   The Charity Run, is one of the local\nfundraising innovations aimed to meet these financial costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 \u201cJoining this\ncause is a clear indication of how God\u2019s providence is real to our minds and\nhearts. We need to be inspired by God\u2019s providence because he takes care of the\norphans. I make a humble appeal to everyone to support this cause as we join\nROM\u2019s journey with the OVC to ensure they have a life every child deserves,\u201d\nsays Michael Buwembo –\nCommunity Support Officer- ROM. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We call upon any individual who may commit to take on a child to a desired level of education to reach out to us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
