But it was\n the support of the late Moses Okurut that made him adhere to the drugs.\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But he has realised that many HIV-positive people \nhave difficulty in travelling to the clinic themselves. Apart from the \nlong lines, many fear to go to nearby health centres for treatment for \nfear of stigmatization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So when Obua was seated in \noffice when President Yoweri Museveni banned public transport as a \nmeasure to curb the possible spread of the Covid-19 virus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\n 23-year-old, who is a Teenage and Adolescents Supporter at Reach Out \nBanda, tried contacting his 154 clients to make plans of picking \nmedication to take them through the lockdown period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs\n a supporter, it is your role to take care of your clients\u2019 wellbeing \nconcerning suppression of the viral load, adherence to drugs and \ncounselling. I was concerned how they would get their medication in \nthese times,\u201d Obua said in an interview. \u201cBut not all of them managed to\n pick their drugs leaving the vulnerable,\u201d adds Obua.<br><br><strong>Birth of an idea<\/strong><br>That is when he had an idea: Why not start home medicine delivery service?<br>He\n made some research and found out that riding on a bicycle would not \ncause any dangers to him. He was desperate to deliver the drugs. \u201cIt \nonly needs local knowledge and since I have been doing home visits to \nmost of the clients, I knew what to do.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many  HIV-positive people across the country fail to take their HIV medication  consistently, leading to easily preventable sickness and death.
