The food relief is meant to support ROM vulnerable TB clients through this period of lockdown caused by the COVID -19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ranked among one of the world\u2019s deadliest\nairborne diseases, Tuberculosis spreads when an infected person coughs or\nsneezes and someone else inhales the expelled droplets, which contain the\nbacteria. A lot of similarities with how the COVID-19 spreads, shared spaces\nlike homes, schools, public transport, waiting rooms or even churches can be\ntransmission hotspots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TB is responsible for the loss of over 4,000\nlives each day according to the World Health Organization and close to 30,000\npeople are infected with this preventable and curable disease.
