In this study, it is explained that people\u00a0Living with HIV (PLHIV)\u00a0often times\u00a0suffer from a\u00a0variety of problems that\u00a0lead to poor physical health and quality of life, making it\u00a0more difficult. The condition is a result of lack of or\u00a0limited emotional, spiritual, psychological, social, physical and clinical support.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-6270\" style=\"font-weight: inherit;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.reachoutmbuya.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/js15-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"577\" height=\"431\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.reachoutmbuya.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/js15-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.reachoutmbuya.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/js15.jpg 659w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 577px) 100vw, 577px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>For this reason, ROM promotes the body, mind, soul and family of her clients through a\u00a0holistic care model\u00a0that\u00a0supports\u00a0them\u00a0in\u00a0accessing\u00a0all\u00a0these aspects of life, thus the\u00a0improved treatment outcomes, including viral load suppression.\u00a0The study shows that in 2014-2018, a total of 910 clients between 18 and 39 years were enrolled 904 (99.3%) were adhering to HIV treatment and 867 (95.3%) were virally suppressed.<\/p>\n<p>The age\u00a0and adherence\u00a0of people living with the HIV virus and receiving holistic care\u00a0were\u00a0linked\u00a0to viral load suppression.<\/p>\n<p>To read more about this study, please follow this link<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/journals.plos.org\/plosone\/article?id=10.1371\/journal.pone.0272039\">https:\/\/journals.plos.org\/plosone\/article?id=10.1371\/journal.pone.0272039<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 26th\u00a0July 2022, the ROM study, \u201cClinical profile of HIV-infected persons receiving a holistic approach of care model in Nakawa, Kampala district\u201d was published in PLOS ONE, one of the most prestigious journals in the world.
