{"id":8006,"date":"2024-12-06T14:04:12","date_gmt":"2024-12-06T11:04:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.reachoutmbuya.org\/?p=8006"},"modified":"2025-06-25T11:02:08","modified_gmt":"2025-06-25T08:02:08","slug":"erasmus-university-students-amazed-at-roms-ability-to-improve-the-lives-of-vulnerable-young-mothers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.reachoutmbuya.org\/?p=8006","title":{"rendered":"Erasmus University students amazed at ROM\u2019s ability to improve the lives of vulnerable young mothers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0d55a3;\">Erasmus University students amazed at ROM\u2019s ability to improve the lives of vulnerable young mothers<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students from Erasmus University in Canada were on a learning visit to Uganda, during which they visited ROM and the communities we serve, giving them a lasting experience as far as serving most vulnerable members of the community is concerned.<\/p>\n<p>A section of them visited Kinnawataka Community in Nakawa Division where ROM, with support from Mennonite Central Committee, has impacted on the lives of over 100 vulnerable young mothers. These are given Antenatal and post-natal care services, mama kits, counselling, nutrition training to enable them to feed their children on cheap but nutritious meals and gender-based related services.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201cAccess to healthcare services is important for the young mothers as witnessed in the community.
