ROM partners with KCCA to commemorate International Labour Day

On 28th May, ROM joined Kampala Capital City Authority to commemorate the International Labour Day under the theme: Promoting Descent Work & Social Justice, with the objective to promote descent labour opportunities, create awareness on labour administration in Kampala for descent work and social justice.

We also provided HIV testing & Counselling services at the venue and showcased products made by our she soars beneficiaries under the SHE SOARS Project arm of economic empowerment for young people.

The Chief Guest- Hon. Lady Justice Linda Lillian Tumusiime Mugisha- Judge of the Industrial court of Uganda appreciated partner institutions such as KCCA and ROM for making strides and advised them to strengthen the partnership to foster an inclusive labour market.

As stakeholders in ensuring regional economic sustainability, our shared goal is to build an inclusive economy where all people can thrive. ” She said. She later toured exhibition stalls, one of which belonged to ROM.
