ROM’S Inclusive Skilling in Action

In group vocational skilling activities under the SHE SOARS project, 78 participants were reached.

A total of 63 participants (44 girls, including 2 persons with disabilities, and 19 boys, contributing to a total of 3 persons with disabilities (PWDs), took part in bakery training. Through hands-on sessions, they gained practical skills in preparing mandazi, cakes, doughnuts, and daddies, hence building confidence and opening opportunities for income generation.

In addition, 15 participants (13 girls and 2 boys, including 1 PWD) completed training in soap-making. They acquired essential skills in formulation, cutting, and packaging of both liquid and bar soap, equipping them with knowledge they can directly apply in small-scale businesses. These skilling initiatives continue to strengthen livelihood capacities among young people while advancing inclusive economic empowerment, ensuring that no one is left behind.
