Message from the Executive Director

Improving the lives of vulnerable people living with and affected by HIV is not only a moral cause for the team at ROM, but also a contribution to national and global efforts to end the further spread of the virus. At ROM, we believe that transforming the individual
through our holistic model of care is key in the efforts to promote resilience amongst the targeted population served. For anyone to live a dignified life, transformation of one’s wellbeing informs the health aspects not only for that individual but for the family and the communities involved.

Despite notable progress in reducing the further spread of HIV and related challenges among the extremely vulnerable members in our targeted communities, a big number is still languishing in extreme poverty calling for deepening of economic empowerment interventions to cut the charity dependence syndrome. We are so grateful to our benefactors that have continued to support us to reach out to the needy. We equally very grateful for the beneficiaries that have utilized the resources effectively to transform themselves and their families.

With viral load suppression levels in our financial year 2022 at 98%, we believe everyone should be productively engaged for sustainable livelihoods. To the board and staff of ROM, your unwavering passion to serve regardless of conditions is priceless.
All our stakeholders that support us in many ways, we are grateful. As we conclude our strategic period of 2018 to 2022, we are happy to report progress at many fronts as briefly shared in this report.

We bless the Lord that has brought us this far!
Josephine Kaleebi
