Having been started by parishioners with a heart for those who had been greatly affected by the HIV/AIDS pandemic, the volunteering spirit is at the very heart of what Reach Out Mbuya stands for. Volunteers are welcome and placed within the various departments according to the interest and their qualifications as well.
As a volunteer at Reach Out, you get a chance to work with and learn from the professionals in the various departments as the need arises; have a chance to contribute to the development and improvement and development of Reach Out at the different levels.

Emily Butzakowsky worked in the Communications and Public Relations department for 3 months. She joined Reach Out through a Canadian University Program called “Beyond Boarders” that places students in various countries in organisations that cater for their interests and qualifications.
Mattia Davis worked with Reach Out Mbuya in the laboratory for 3 months. She also came to ROM through the “Beyond Boarders” program from the St. Jerome’s University in Canada.
Noah Kersting from Germany, under the Bistum Osnabrück Catholic Church and worked at Reach Out Mbuya for 11 months as a volunteer after being placed in the Laboratory
