ROM Supports Children and Families affected by HIV with Holistic Care and Educational Aid

Reach Out Mbuya Community Health Initiative (ROM), with generous support from SIDECOLE remains steadfast in her mission to uplift the lives of vulnerable individuals-particularly children from households affected by HIV.

This quarter, through the Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) program, ROM provided comprehensive support to 75 children and their families, addressing both immediate needs and long-term well-being. Beneficiaries received essential food supplies, including rice, beans, maize flour, corn flour, and cooking oil to promote medication adherence among the children and improve household food security.

In a similar way to promote education, we distributed scholastic materials such as books, pens, pencils, school uniforms and shoes to the children. The interventions are designed to encourage regular school attendance, prevent school dropouts, and reduce the risk of child labour and juvenile delinquency, while building the children’s confidence and sense of belonging.

ROM family extends heartfelt appreciation to our donors-SIDECOLE for making these life changing initiatives possible.
