324 People Screened for Tuberculosis during Awareness Campaign

Reach Out Mbuya Community Health Initiative in corporation with Rotaract eClub of Uganda Global in Formation carried out a Tuberculosis awareness and screening campaign with an aim to increase TB Awareness in Kitintale Community in Nakawa Division. The drive which started from Kitintale market saw 324 people reached with various TB messages such as how the disease is spread, its prevention, treatment and screened them for the disease as well.  

The team was flagged off by Past Assistant Governor (PAG) Jane Kabugo from Rotary Club of Kampala Sunrise and an honorary member of Rotary eClub of Uganda Global. Immediate Past President (IPP) Emmanuel Onuoha of Rotary Club of Kampala Muyenga Breeze, Rotarian Albert Byakutaga and Rotarian Christine Onuoha of Rotary eClub Of Uganda Global were also present to support the campaign.  

PAG Jane thanked Reach Out Mbuya for partnering with the club and for providing the expertise required to do the awareness in the community. She mentioned that the TB campaign was the first of its kind among Rotary clubs in Uganda. She encouraged the youth to work hard and always give back while making a difference in the community.

The people of Kitintale thanked Reach Out Mbuya for being supportive and always reaching out to them with various health services and programs that focus on their health and wellbeing .
